An Ijazah is a licence to transmit what you have received, granted by a teacher who holds it themselves. It is earned by examination, not by attendance.
Who this course is for
- Huffaz seeking formal certification
- Students of Tajweed ready for examined recitation
- Aspiring teachers who need a licence to teach with authority
- Students of Warsh or Qalun seeking a specialist examiner
What you will cover
Entry assessment
An honest evaluation of your recitation and memorisation against the standard required. We will tell you plainly if you are not ready yet.
Preparation phase
Targeted correction of remaining weaknesses, often in makharij and consistency of madd, before formal recitation begins.
Recitation to the shaykh
Reciting the full text to your teacher in sequence, section by section, to the required standard each time.
Final examination
A formal, recorded examination covering fluency, accuracy and applied Tajweed throughout.
Award and chain
The written Ijazah, documenting the chain of transmission from your teacher back through their own teachers.
